With the spring equinox in the rearview, and summer well and truly on its way, those with a passion for exploring lesser-known trails will begin to feel the call of the road.
Knowing our Ambassadors would have plans in the works, we asked them which bits of kit they'd be taking on their travels - old favourites going with them, no matter the journey and new gear that has achieved 'never leave home without' status.
And what epic adventures they were planning to use them on...

"This trip is slightly different to most, I don't have a checked-bag weight limit, so in a way I can go as heavy as I want, or at least as heavy as my legs can bear. The first bike/surf trip I ever went on we took an axe and half a kilo of coffee with us on the trailer; it's safe to say I have learned from that trip.
My priority for now is functionality above all else - if it won't get used and won't stand up to the rigours of the road, I won't take it with me. One good, warm jacket, one windcheater, merino wool everything, and packing cubes, packing cubes, packing cubes..."

"We spend the summer months down in Cornwall, visiting friends, exploring the rugged coastline. We take this time as a family, travelling super simple in a small van (not the one in the picture, obviously) making it difficult when it rains but perfect when the sun is shining. The workwear Barrel Trousers are my absolute favourite, they keep their shape so well and feel comfortable to travel in but smart somehow at the same time!
We take our boards, skateboards, swim fins, camera gear and binoculars taking time to explore the quieter spots, leaving the van doors open at night to let in the summer breeze. It's one of our favourite trips of the year, simple camp cooking with a chance to catch up with good friends (mainly the Fini and Ambassador crew!) surfing together and spending all our days outside."

"I’m heading up to the West Coast Triple Plank this weekend, which consists of a banked slalom snowboard race in the alpine, a surf contest on the coast, and a skate contest in downtown Tofino. The weather on Vancouver Island is especially volatile at this time of year, and I’m grateful to have a diverse range of durable pieces from Finisterre to accompany me on this adventure.
I’ve chosen to bring a few new items with me, along with some veteran products that rarely leave my side - special mention to my Nimbus Puffy. I’ll be going from the mountains to the coast, so my Xtratufs are going to get a proper testing, paired with some thick Finisterre adventure socks. I’m also packing some fresh cord trousers for their first outing and a new Letterpress Cap to help keep the sun off up in the judging tower. All whilst sipping from my MiiR travel mug... Great times ahead!"

"I will be joining Students On Ice this summer again as a Zodiac Boat driver. The expedition will start in Greenland, then cross the Davis Strait to go to the Torngat Mountains National Park in Nunatsiavut, Canada. After a few days of exploring the mountains, the group will be sailing towards Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut.
The expedition will touch land just in time for the 2026 Inuit Circumpolar Council AGM where Inuit delegates from Inuit Nunaat will share experiences and discuss strategies to address issues impacting all Inuit."
